Best biryani

The Biryani I had in Persian Darbar Mumbai was undoubtfully the BEST biryani. We Ordered Jhalandari Tikka which were great, Chicken Tikka Biryani which was outstanding and the Kulfi Chicken was simply rocked. The rice was so fine, the mutton and chicken so soft and the taste of the spices were all well blended. A bit high priced but then I think it was definitely worth it.

Authentic mughlai food

The best place to satisfy your mughlai food craving. It is located in a convenient location on linking road and has sufficient valet parking facility. Every mutton preparation you order is spectacular. Mutton Biryanitheir signature dish- not very oily, greasy, yet tender and fantastic flavors filled with softest mutton. Mutton Raan 3 in 1, a sumptuous serving ,tasted heavenly and was quite high in portion. The Ambience is nice and cozy full of round shaped table with accommodating capacity of around 5-6 people. The service provided by staff was heartwarming. Always order Caramel custard in dessert. Its killing dish.

A taste of Persia in Mumbai style

For ages the chain of Persian Darbar restaurants have been the favorite of many foodies, specially non-veg lovers. The iconic Raan Rice is the specialty of this place. With varieties from Mutton Raan Tandori to Mutton Raan Fried Rice this preparation is the best selling dish of the joint. And Persian Darbar is well know for the same.

Finally making its way into the Suburbs a couple of years ago starting with Bandra. Persian darbar starting its journey from Colaba and recently opening up a new joint in Andheri. This place is definitely worth every penny you pay for in regards to the taste and quantity of food the serve.

I want more and more!

I only visit this place for the raan biryani. If you haven't tried it yet you are really missing out on something. You need to go on a empty stomach to really relish the food.

whoa...

Persian darbar is a place where you need to first prepare yourself and be hungry so that you can complete a meal. The quality is brilliant, but the quantity is way too much for one person to complete one plate. If you plan to go hear and you're usually the person who has light meals usually, but dont mind having a heavy meal, prepare yourself. The only con is that I wish the chicken tikkas were of small size. One piece of tikka is probably equivalent of 2 tikkas. that's a lot. Even some non vegeterians may not like such a large chunk of chicken on their plate, but to each of his own. It doesn't affect the quality of the food. One of the rarest places, after cafe noorani in south Mumbai, who doesn't use thick coat on the meat. poor food. Just make sure that you come at either 1pm for dinner and 8.00-8.30 for dinner if you want grab a good place to eat. most of the times, people come in groups to either have a LOT of food, or 1-2 raan briyani.
