synonymous to Perfection

This place is located at theLE SUTRA THE INDIAN ART HOTEL. The best part is the seating arrangement! You can sit without your shoes, cross legged and be super comfortable. All salad based items were great - like the pasta and beans, chicken, ham salad. Tried Basa in parsley sauce which was very delightful. A small section is stationed with chat and south indian being offered upon request. The music, the ambiance, the bar and the kitchen, this place has got it all right.

fun place

Before I patronized Olive, I was a fan of just sitting at Out of the Blue and sipping a glass of wine. They would have fun events through the months and I am guessing, they still do the same.
I have eaten so much here, which led me to the gym.
From pizzas to that sinful cheese fondue, Out of the Blue serves everything and it's so delicious, sometimes however, the service would lack, but most times they are really courteous.

Great place

It has very classy ambiance, very romantic place too and frequented by many high society people too. Live music performances happen a lot, service is good, has good continental food, was here for a friend's birthday and ordered chicken peri peri which was excellent. Price is a little bit more than what is comfortable for me..but it is not a place for college students...so overall it was great.

Great place

Outdoor seating section is amazing,I have been here with my girl pals on a Wednesday ,they always have amazing offers going on,especially for ladies,so check it out! Everything is good, though not extraordinary. I like chocolate fondue a lot. Pasta is also good, red sauce penne is amazing,I don’t like the white sauce much so cannot say about it. The ambiance wins over everyone and it is pretty great for a date or any special occasion.

“Bombay's Best Kept Secret”

Le Sutra is an absolute must visit if you are coming to Mumbai and especially if you are staying in Bandra. The concept of individualized rooms is genius. My room was absolutely gorgeous, quiet, and comfortable. It was the perfect space after two days of flying. The staff was gracious, courteous, and always ready to answer questions, help me hail an auto, or get my bags. With so many hotels in Bombay, it is easy for places like Le Sutra to get overlooked in favor of some of the big names. However, you can get all of the pampering and luxury of the resort style hotels for a fraction of the price, with better service, and much more personality.

Food is good, rest is ok!

We visited this place on a Thursday recently. We found out that this place is divided into two sections outdoor which is lit with candles giving it an extra touch but being summers it is very hot to sit here Inspite of the water sprinklers and indoor where service is very poor and music is very loud.

The interiors of the indoor location are also very old and need some renovation.

But Inspite of all this we enjoyed the quality of food here.

Rest factors and must to improve upon !

So much is already written about this place...so there is nothing new to add. Awesome crowd with good ambiance and some kickass food and drinks.
Only the waiting period over the weekends can be a bit annoying. But given the food and the ambiance I guess no one wants to miss out on this one

An Awesome Place

The ambiance is worth noting. Such Class! nThe music was soothing and you just enjoy it even more with a red wine. A good collection of wines. We ordered a corn mushroom crostini and was it yum! asparagus risotto was nice with a combination of cheese. Service was timely and minimum conversation. Sizzling Liqueur brownie is not just out of the blue but of the world

Fine Dine and Wine!!

Simply Satisfying ..Well prior to the valentine week, they had Swiss food festival.
I am a foodie and love trying various cuisine although i am thorough vegetarian.
Me with my couple of friends went over this place for dinner to have Swiss.
We booked the table online, however due to some problem they didn't have the details of our booking. Yet we were lucky enough to get a table. The outdoor was decorated beautifully. There was a singer singing all Enrique numbers. It was cold and the entire setup was so mesmerizing with scented candles on each table. It was just wowwww.The food is obviously not much to be talked about. They serve great food. So was the case this time also. We loved Swiss food. The cheesy fondue was just yummy. We were just completely full and enjoyed to the fullest.Amazing Food, Ambiance, Service and Completely Worth It .. Just A+ ..Keep Up The Good Work..

Nice food & great atmosphere for food.

Was here for a office get-to-gather. The restaurant is not very easy to locate but just call-up & the manager will guide you excellently.. It looks small while you enter but it just keeps on expanding... They have got 4 different areas to segregate ppl...

The manager gave us a separate area for the group of 30 ppl.... It was Friday noon - hence was special things arranged for ladies !!

Most of the food was good leaving couple of items. The best one being Lasagne... The taste of each item was authentic & looked wonderful... Was not disappointed even on the Mock tail front.. Absolutely recommended for couples - where they can provide a separate sitting area to enjoy the food & spend quality time..

go goa gone

This place reminds you of goa and even the music and decor is designed to do so. They have good options both for outdoor as well as indoor seating. The food and drinks were good. They have a good variety of cuisines available and since i went there in a group, i saw and tried different cuisines - italian risotto(my favorite wherever i go) , burgers and pizzas. The dessert options looked tempting from what we saw on other tables but we had no room for it. This place is good for group hang out. The drinks were impressive, especially i would recommend the long island iced tea- one of the best i had in a long time.

Fantastic food, ambience and value for money

Been here several times with all age groups and relations, family, friends , kids and this restaurant caters to all. They have really put in effort to make the menu interesting. Though all their sizzlers are excellent, the basa one needs special mention. The vegetable and potato sides are well done and we'll seasoned. All their salads are large portions and good enough for a light meal. The pasta is all well done with plenty of sauce and suits the Indian palate. The starters are all good too.The staff is friendly and patient and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance is great - vibrant and buzzing even during the day, the decor is warm and inviting. The large outdoor area is well cooled with water fans and fan curtains and there is floor seating on settees as well. Excellent value for money at this casual dining restaurant.

Nice Food

I went here with my cousins on a weekend. By the time we reached we were really hungry.Being a Vegetarian had very few options to choose from, but whatever we ordered tasted superb and proved very filling. Infact the chef personally came to our table and asked for our taste requirement. Liked that effort. Another attraction was the waiters with a funny hat. We clicked pictures with that hat as well.

A Near Perfect Meal !!!! Can never go wrong

Been to this place umpteen number of times...and it never disappoints... With options to sit outside or inside, there is a comfortable seat for all... if your a couple, or a group of friends.... seating options are many... low seating, sofa seating, group seating etc... though, its always packed.. Food is beyond description... the taste is to die for... penne in paprika sauce and the cottage cheese steak paprika are a must-try for us every visit... never get tired of it... can also try pesto crostini,.. if there is room for desert, then try their death by chocolate or molten chocolate cake for chocolate lovers... or their cheesecakes as well...

its always been a near perfect meal... delicious.....

Awesome Experience!

This candle lit place at the carter road is a frequent visit for us. To start this place has great fondue with the french bean and olives as dippers. The lavash and the bread are soft and fresh. They have different sizes for their main course as large and medium serving for pastas. The sizzlers are a must have at this place. The ambience is divided into two settings with group friendly seats inside and private setting in the open. The place has water sprinkling fans so you never feel hot seated in the open. The desserts are by Deliciae at Powai and Khar. The banofee is one of my favourite. Seasonal but the strawberry banofee is a no one can eat just 1 preparation. The cheese cake is a delight too.

Nice romantic restaurant with good food n live mus

Well I was looking for the one romantic place for my first wedding anniversary. All the guys know what it means. Well even gals wud agree how much pressure the guy has to take his women to the right place. I zeroed in on this place and It was a good decision. It takes a while to figure out the restaurant since you don't see any big board outside, but anybody will tell you, its quite famous.
Ambiance : it is good. they have AC and non AC area, AC is quieter. you have live music playing. The music is really good, Its a candle light dinner place.
Food: We ordered wine, cocktail, A chicken n cheese soup, Fiery prawns, chicken n prawns pasta ( Large ). Food overall is good, I liked the soup n pasta. cocktell Love potion tested like cough syrup but may be it was a wrong choice. Founde is famous here but we didn't order. Tip : Pasta small size is also big :)
Money : Well its bit on the pricey side, for all the above food n drinks the bill was 2800.
Overall : I had great time, specially because good live music, ambiance, service and good tasty food.

Good for A la carte..

Have tried both their lunch buffet and the a la carte dinner options..the buffet had a good selection of salads, desserts and live counters. The only downside was that the barbecue/pasta portions ordered from the counters were really small. The lemon fish and the pasta barely covered half the plate..makes you wonder if they got their starter and entrée portions mixed up?? Dinner was a different scene altogether..Efficient service, generous portions and good ambience.

Pleasant Surprise!

So like many other couples, we decided to have a quiet lunch here on a Tuesday afternoon. The ambiance is perfect, cosy and romantic. We called for a Heineken beer, Peach Iced Tea, 4-cheese pasta, Chicken and Prawns Sizzler and a "Death By Chocolate" dessert. The total damage for a lavish lunch was 1950 INR; steep but totally worth it. What I dint like: Seating is too cramped and only one A/C out of three was in a working condition in the inner section. All in all a wonderful experience, will definitely come again for the 'Friday Spa Lunch Buffet'

Great Desserts

This place has a lot of things right - huge interiors (esp the open air section, even if the water spray can get irritating), the one-man-show singer (who's pretty good and entertains requests) and the food - served in decent portions and is pretty good.
The interior (non-smoking) section is dimly light and has a nice feel to it - the flickering light from the floating candles adding to the atmosphere - good for taking a date out to :)
The food is mainly italian and sizzlers - with some other mexican/thai stuff thrown in. And, they do a pretty fondue too. I haven't had too many cocktails there to say if the bar is upto scratch though ...
But the best part undoubtedly is the desserts. They have a small cafe like area before the start of the restaurant - and given that I haven't seen empty seats there, appears to be quite popular. But the desserts are the star attraction - they are just damned good - try out their baked cheese cake with vanilla ice cream - heavenly !!

Best Sizzlers!

Had been to this place a couple of times in the past but hadnt quite explored the sizzlers here. So..on a sat night while there was a long wait at destinations such as De Italia & Little Italy ..and when Penne changing its tables sizes to look like another 'Shiv Sagar'..we called Out of the Blue & the receptionist was very helpful & told us that our table will be ready by the time we get there!
We ordered for a Tomoto Bisque & Basil soup which was strictly ok...the garlic bread along was again as passe. Howver, I was impressed with thier selection of wines and thier iced tea was above par. Then came in our main order of sizzers - We ordered for the veg in tomato sauce with butter rice...and i must say that this is the best sizzler i have ever had...surpassing yokos by yards...The flavor the sauce and the veg were perfect and i couldnt have asked it better done. I would revisit this place again and again just for this dish.
The over all ambiance and staff/service is excellent. Must visit for sizzer lovers.

Out of The World!!

So I finally made it to Out of The Blue after much delay and despair. With tables already booked we did not have to wait outside (though confusion amongst the gang led us to book 2 tables instead of one!!) The hostess, who was extremely helpful, helped us out of the whole conundrum by directing us to where the rest of the gang was sitting!
Anyways, getting back to the review, the first thing that hit me about the place (besides the courteous hostess) was the decor and ambiance. Till date, I haven't been to a place where I wanted to stay longer not because of the food but for the look and feel of the place. It also has a live singing performance which adds to the whole experience of dining at Out of The Blue.
Fast forwarding to our orders, we first started off with drinks and a starter. Drinks included, Cinderalla, Virgin Pincolada, Blue Driver, Italian Kiss and Guava Fizz. Fortunately for me, I could try out all these drinks. They also have a pretty impressive selection of wines and hard drinks as well. The only think I can really say is, order what you want, you will not be disappointed in the drinks departments. The mocktails, were made out of fresh fruits which was quite evident from the taste.
The starter, Cottage Cheese CorianderJalepenos Paneer, was yummy though a bit bland.
We also ordered for the Cheese Fondue which was quite filling and we were unsure whether after that we could possible have the main course. However, we decided, why not so ordered for: Paneer Steak Paprika, Chicken and Prawn pasta, Chicken Masala Mafia, Grill Breast Chicken and the Desi Veg shaslik.
The Italian stuff was quite good though the quantity of chicken and prawns was a little less than say what you get at Da Vinci, but the penne was awesome and the quantity good as well!
The veg sizzlers were a delight really. The Paprika Sauce was just something quite extra ordinary. between the two who ordered the veg sizzlers, nearly 5 servings of Paprika sauce were shared!!!
My friend, who thought he ordered a sizzlers but ended up ordering a BBQ, was served the BBQ as a sizzler on request (yes yes with cheese on top of it!), which I thought was a really good gesture from the management.
We paid Rs.3262 for a sumptuous meal coupled with an amazing ambiance, very very courteous hostesses/waiters/management and a live performance from a really good singer! It was a delightful sight to see people singing along!
Out of The Blue is definitely on my list of 'special dining places for special occasions'. And just for the record, we were celebrating our friend's birthday!

Gotta love the food

I have been a regular at Out of the Blue. The selection here of the various varieties of dishes is great. Love the Stuffed Mushroom sizzler here and the Pizza fondue rocks.

The service is friendly although waiting times can get annoying.
What impresses me is that the restaurant is ready to tweak the dishes as per your liking with a smile. This I believe is the mark of any good restaurant.

Do enjoy yourself with the great deserts in the end. Highly recommend this place.

Good food, good ambience.

We were seated about an hour after we arrived. So make reservations before you land up there. We stuck to Italian on our visit and weren't disappointed in the least. The pastas were delicious, the bruschetta was good and the desserts were good too. The tables, I thought, were a bit too close to each other.
The service was friendly, if a little slow. Oh, and they do read the feedback - i got promotional stuff on my email.
All in all, a must visit place. Food much better (and cheaper) than Olive next doors.

Stunning ambience

Out of the blue is a regular hang out with friends and family when they visit me in Mumbai. I love the outdoor seating under the shade of the canvas awning and fans that spray mist and add to the great atmosphere in addition to making up for air conditioning. The tables are lit by candle light and dim lighting and it makes for a very relaxing evening out. They have a wonderful musician, Siegfrid who adds to the magic of dinner with his soulful ballads- He is a regular feature on the weekends, I believe.
The sizzlers served on a bed with mashed potatoes or rice along with steamed veggies or fries are my eternal favourite. The seafood festival also had some great dishes...The fondues are unremarkable and best avoided-especially the ones with the Indianized twist. The wine list is impressive! Definitely worth a visit when one is looking for a relaxing evening out with family or friends. Try their desserts- it would be sin to bypass them. They are truly out of the world!

Terrible.......terrible

To start with, our reservations at the table were given to someone else, and what should hav been a 15 minutes wait turns out to be a boring 60 minutes wait! and that too after constant rounds of appeals to the manager. A total turn off, specially it being a Saturday night. Once we get seated at our table, we have to try our best to catch the attention of a waiter who could at least give us some menus.Even more effort was given to get one of the waiters to write down our order. The quality of the staff was poor, and they all pronounced the names of the dishes as if they just got out of Nepal. Not to forget that the lighting was so poor that we had to really strain our eyes to read the text. The food too was a letdown, my grilled vegetables are just not overcooked, they were burnt BLACK, and the chicken with bbq sauce wasn't any extraordinary. The pasta preparation again was quite poor. Nothing exciting at all.Simple restaurant ethics was not followed, the maincourse portions were put on the table without removing the soiled appetizers plates. ...................the list never stops. This is a classic example of a Good place gone Real bad, and i dont suppose it is going to get any better anytime soon.

Sizzlers rock

Every time I go to Out of the Blue I make it a point to try out a new sizzler, and they've got a complete spread of them. The grilled stuff is also good. I remember having a portion of grilled chicken in rosemary sauce (or something like that). Then there was this grilled chicken in sweetish orange sauce - very different and very nice. And I'm off again today. Love sitting out in the open courtyard, sipping away some wine, and listening to the guy crooning away one popular number after the other (and he's good at it).Go there, but make reservations in advance.

Nice experience

We visited the place a second time last week, after almost a year and I am happy to report that we had an enjoyable experience. Enough has been said about the ambience, we like sitting out, even though it's quite noisy. We ordered the fire-fry - which is paneer chunks in a kind of spicy arabiatta sauce - a nice starter for vegetarians. The charcoal grilled mushrooms were simply done brushed with balsamic vinegar and served with a nice dipping sauce. But, the best of the starters was the chopped Arabic salad, the vegetables were very very fresh and crisp, and in a light dressing topped with toasted sesame seeds - it was a fresh burst of flavour and we'll surely order it the next time. For the main course we both had the same pasta - spagetti in tomato basil sauce with grilled vegetables...the portion was considerably large and since we had opted for the saucier version, it was a big plate and tough to finish. The pasta was quite high on the salt though. In drinks, I tried the non alcoholic cranberry surprise - which was fairly good. With 2 Peroni beers and a supersize Mojito, the bill came to around 2400 - Food was just around Rs.1200 or so.Service was attentive and prompt. In fact we asked them to delay the main course a bit so that we could go slow - and they happily obliged despite being a Saturday and plenty of waiting etc etc.We loved everything that we had ordered, and the overall experience was very pleasant. Will surely go back for the fondue and sizzlers.

Improved for the better

I had not been to this place for quite some time and was pleasantly surprised to see the change. The twin style seating – indoor and outdoor is relaxed but can get a bit too noisy at times. Although the outdoor is always a fave . They have live music never mind if it’s a one man show. The gentleman obliges to any requests if one should care to make. The bar menu is above average but me being a martini loyalist can only comment on the martini and it was ok. They like most other bars in Mumbai do not understand the meaning of a very dry martini, sigh. Since we were hungry we opted for one sizzler some 4 meat thing with all sorts of meats imaginable and a veg exotica which was smooth with excellently done cheesy creamy sauce. The service staff is well trained and nice but I feel they are short staffed. But considering the fact that we had a lil monster with us, they were extra helpful to the extent of carrying him around while we ate in peace. All in all for a pax size of 2 we paid around 1000/- which considering the experience was worth it.
