Good to visit here with friends and relatives for some get together sessions or celebrations. they have these chilli cheese garlic parathas which are super yumm. place has it's own charm and mostly crowded. noisy and full of life. staff is very courteous and friendly, they suggest you good stuff based upon your tastes and preferences. Juices and starters are good to try too..
An apt place to have all the Northern food. I, being from Chandigarh never miss an opportunity to take folks along and visit this place on special occasions.
They have some awesome food. You can't miss there garlic naan, it's to some other level altogether. Also in the chakna, you get bhel, pop corns and kids love it. Go here for food, with some authentic and real taste.
A nice place for North Indian food. On the Holi day and they had a separate Holi menu. The Starter - Chicken Kebab Platter, Main Course (Chicken and Dal) and rotis were all nice. The service is very attentive and they even gave a free dessert (Jalebi).
This is the only place I have found where they voluntarily asked which credit card you have and applied the Citibank discount even though it was a holiday. All other places invariably try to avoid this, let alone ask, which card you have.
4.0 for being honest other wise it would be a 3.0.
Celebrated a Family Big Day Dinner, Northern Tadka more than obliged with easy & flexible arrangements. Super food, Not too spicy nor very oily !! Yes Punjabi - NOT OILY !! Great service and attention by wait staff.
Decent happy hours, great value for money - though a bit cramped. Worth regular visits.
MUST HAVE MALAI PANEER TIKKAS, BLACK DAL, GHUNGAT WALI SUBZI & BIRYANI.
Their Dal Amritsari is awesome as I and my husband both love dals. Hoping to try their dal makhni next time. I must mention about Ghoonghatwali subji as we tried it because the name aroused my curiosity and it was good with the Khasta naan . About their Roti section, we did try three different types and it was just as it should be ;perfect .Good ambiance and a nice family restaurant for a good meal.
As name suggest, northern tadka, you will get to taste flavors from north India. The food is awesome & mouthwatering. This have become my most visited restaurant in recent time. The happy hours are worth it. Suggest the management to get some good music collection. Gulab Jamun is worth tasting.
There are very few places in Mumbai where they actually get Punjabi food right, Nothern Tadka is one of them. Like someone below mentioned, it's owned by the same people who own Urban Tadka, so if you've liked the food there, you'll like the food at Nothern Tadka. The decor resembles a Punjabi village and if you visit for the first time, I'm pretty sure you'll find the menu a little funny. Unfortunately I can't remember what kind of music they were playing there when I visited last week. My personal favorites are the Dal Makhani and the Alu Chhole Biryani. I tried their special nimbu paani (lemonade), which was tasty, but it had a little chilli powder or something that didn't really make it spicy, but it hit my throat and made me cough a little. They have happy hours till 11pm. A tip - on weekends, it can get packed, so I'd recommend going their a little early.
Northern Tadka is a nice place to have lunch/dinner.The service is good. There are many paneer dishes , so paneer lovers have a great time. The ambience is good too. All the dishes are very tasty. But, there is a bit of noise and on top of that there is music playing in the background , can be a little irritating at times. But, overall it is a great family resteraunt :)
Northern tadka is a place where you can get good punjabi food.Even though NT offers a small variety of food dishes to choose from each tastes different frm other. Its kalimiri chicken,Tandoori chicken and Sarson da saag with makki di roti were the best. They also give complimentary Jalebi with rabri after dinner and they could be the best any one could eat.Golden and Crisp.
