The first thing to be noted about Mocha is the ambiance and decor. It's a really comfy place for lunch, snacks or just hookah and the music playing is very appropriately chosen, dance remixes. While I cannot speak about the hookah as I have not tried it yet, the food and drinks are quite amazing. While the food is quite expensive, the portions are huge. The servings of lemonades (of which there were different varieties!) were not only very large but served in decorated jars, which I found really creative. The grilled chicken was quite dry, despite being otherwise well prepared. The pizzas are thin crust and absolutely delicious, as were the muffins. The staff was also very attentive. I was a little surprised, as well as disappointed, in the lack of WiFi access here. But all in all this has to be one of the best hookah bar/cafes in town.
I will say, I like the interior of Mocha. The seating area on the ground floor has a little Victorian feel to it with antique looking high-back sofa seats and the chandelier. Walk up the stairs and enter the shisha den of Mocha. So red! It is pretty comfortable when the place is not too crowded. Otherwise, it gets pretty suffocating. Smoke on shisha and sip on a fizzy drink from a jam bottle. Ah. Yes. It is fun to hangout with friends, listen to music and laugh your hearts out. One thing you must certainly not miss is the maggie preparations at mocha. Look out for the events Mocha keeps organizing. It's just not a cafe. it is more than a cafe. You have to be at Mocha to find out more.
Wow.. What a place to be!! Loved every bit of it: be it decor, food, hukka, service or coffee. Sanjay you are doing a fab job mate and i am sure this joint will be in the TOP League in the days to come especially in this part of the country. I have been to a lot of places but the kind of fun I have had here, its un-thinkable and un-matchable. Even, I have referred this joint to a lot of my friends but till date no one has come up with the negative vibe. Congrats and All the very best folks :) Keep it up
A relatively new entrant, Mocha is tucked away in a cosy corner of an inconspicuous lane in central Kolkata. Split levels, flashy décor, bizarre colour mix, quirky style and the wacky crowd desdcribe it all. The sharing jhulas and flavoured hookahs are added attractions. The large menu featuring a lazy breakfast with pancakes, cheesy French sandwiches, Yoghurt Smoothies served in jam jars, French fries with Cheese Curd, thick shakes and assorted coffees and Exotic Lava Lava Cake are all hot picks.............
